Nice up the Dance! - A Mixed Tape of House Music
Not so long ago in my late-night-after-hours-deep-house-dancing days, a few dj friends of mine namely Dirty Dale and Jermaine Brown, suggested I put some of my energy of dance into playing music. I took their advice and shortly after I found myself living in Paris. In Paris I started buying records at the well renowned Betino Record shop close to Republic. Sure, I did a few parties but it wasn't until I returned to Toronto that I went a bit deeper into buying records. Here is one of my promo mixes from 2006.
I went under the dj. name Cliché. An old photographic term that I adopted as I also photographed during my time abroad and developed my own film. It might be 'typical' or a cliché to live this bohemian life in Paris and return and do the same, but I think I did it in a different way and here I am 10years later making my living as a Sommelier at one of the countries top restaurants, Alo, shortly after building and creating Midfield Wine Bar with a few other endeavours in between.
